Batheaston Churches

The Parish of Batheaston with St Catherine has joined with Bathford Parish in a United Benefice. Rev Lauretta Wilson is Vicar of the Benfice

Our local churches provide a place of welcome for all local residents and visitors alike.  On our web pages, you can find out more about our village churches, service times, special events and what we, as a community of Christians are doing in the area. As a close-knit community, we offer people of all ages a place of tranquility, inspiration and connection.  Why not get involved and come and see us soon?

Batheaston Churches in Partnership: Projects

One of the many benefits of churches working together is that ideas and resources can be pooled and projects started to help bring benefit collectively to our local community. This page highlights the work in which the Batheaston Churches in Partnership is working for the benefit of those who live in the area.

Please support us as, and when, you can and watch this page for updates on progress and new projects.

A specimen tree sits as a focal point to the middle of the garden, together with a location for placing flowers. A benches faces the centre offering a suitable dwelling place from which to reflect and enjoy the peaceful garden.”

Both the hedge and the wall curve, and together with some soft landscaping features, create a quiet, reflective and sheltered space for people to sit and think. We hope the soft landscaping and planting will be carried out by volunteers who will also provide plants, perhaps in memory of loved ones.

The project has provided an all-year-round accessible space for people to sit and reflect as they wish. The Parish Council has generously supported this project and, along with Lottery funding and generous contributions from folk in our local community, the project has been completed. See the 'Gallery' page for the opening of the memorial space and pictures of the completed garden.
